SAFETY NETWORK MESSAGES TO EMAIL AND MOBILE
"Check-In" message will be send every morning. This is our safety network message, more directed to people, who are keeping an eye on us and will help to alert State Emergency Services if help will be needed. This message means we are awake, got our morning coffee and ready to "on-air-rock-n-roll".
"OK" message will be send every 1-2 hours, specifically when I am not on air. This is also our safety network message, it means that we are all good and everything is OK.
"Start movement" message is automatically send by SPOT3 when it senses car movement. Useful when we stop for refuel and then continue our road run - saves us pressing button :). It is safety network message and will help our safety watchers to see if we are not trapped with fixing car.
CUSTOM MESSAGE TO EMAIL AND MOBILE - FOR HAMS
SPOT3 allows to send special Custom message, which is pre-programmed with the text "VI6DH400 is on air". This is really cool feature for IOTA hunters, who are subscribed to those messages either via e-mail or SMS (to GSM mobile). I will be sending this message every time when I start sending CQ. If you received this message - you may start looking at cluster and skimmers. I can pre-program up to 10 mobile numbers and emails, have only two free spots left, so if you are interested - hurry up and send me your email or mobile to add you in.
I will test sending/receiving messages before we leave home QTH on 12th of August.
