Expert Remote Power Controller

The current (in progress) Proof of Concept phase of the Expert Remote add-ons is displayed in the following diagram:

The Expert Remote Power Management/Controller (the green box in the above diagram) is fully compatible with Expert Remote ecosystem and allows to remotely operate with remote shack:
- devices power (switch on/off)
- rotator (currently Yaesu only)
- directions for 4-square controllers and beverage controllers.
The Power Management/Controller can also be used at main location for those keeping shack away from operator.

Feature set:
  • Remote Power Switching Capacity:
    - 1x 0-220V AC/DC 20A
    - 2x 0-220V AC/DC 5A
    - 14x 0-220V AC/DC 2.5A (grouped by 4 with total max 10A per group)
    Each relay has "Normally ON" and "Normally OFF" groups available, providing user with flexibility to choose wiring options. I.e. for devices which require "power ON" as primary (and swithc off via Controller) - connect to "Normally ON" socket; for those devices which are typically require to be off - connect to "Normally OFF" socket.

  • In-build single rotator control functionality (either):
    - Yaesu G-800DXA/1000DXA/2800DXA and G-800DXC/1000DXC/2800DXC (Yaesu controller with Ext.Control 6-pin mini-DIN connector), or
    - Yaesu G-450A/650A/1000A and G-800S-SDX/1000S-SDX, (with replaced Yaesu Rotators control board)
  • Ethernet on board (full compatible with Expert Remote Shack LAN design).
  • Full stack TCI support with configurable TCI server.
  • DHCP/Static IP configurable. Shipped with default IP address 192.168.16.199/24 (EE default range), changeable via web interface to any static or DHCP IP.
  • In-build "follow VFO" function for all relays (toggle relay state based on configured frequency)
  • Designed for remote Firmware upgrades for expanded functionality.
  • Expert Remote full functionality set: pending EE to extend TCI.
